Adieu 2024: A Year of Lessons embraced, and Memories Cherished! Welcome 2025: A Year with Limitless Potential, a canvas to paint with Purpose, Passion and Perseverance!!!

2024 passed in the blink of an eye, almost at lightning speed, serving as a poignant reminder to me that when we infuse each moment with life, ‘Life’ in turn, offers us treasures to cherish - moments to learn from, grow in and nourish our souls!  

This year has been a journey of both strength and vulnerability, challenging me to push my boundaries and create a bridge to the years ahead.

A year of Blessings: Seeing my daughter Ishita complete her Masters in Law and the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examination, and embark on her corporate journey as a Trainee Solicitor with Linklaters in London, has been a joy and profound sense of realization of how much she has grown. As a parent, witnessing her confidently step into adulthood is both humbling and nostalgic. Time has a way of reminding us how fleeting it is, and yet, the fruits of love, guidance, and support ripen in the most beautiful ways.

A year of Awakening:  The loss of friends this year opened my eyes to the fragile realities of mental health. At the same time, it has been a year of rejuvenation, marked by meaningful vacations after nearly seven years. Travelling through South of France, experiencing the serene Mediterranean Sea each  morning, learning  the art of curating a perfume, and exploring the Calanques – all of it reminded of the magnanimity of Mother Nature who vastness and tranquility absorbed every thought and emotion.

A year of Discovery: I discovered the power of my own voice through writing, conceptualizing the Resonance with Divinity series, the Leadership Alchemy, and evolving the Treading the Thin Line concept. These have become a guiding compass for curating my thoughts, experiences and reflections. Simultaneously strengthening my discovery of perspectives through continued commitment to reading, with more than two dozen of them this year, including Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss, Think Again by Adam Grant, and Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink & Leif Babin, who have left a deep impression, expanding my perspective, deepening my understanding and broadening my horizons.

A Year of Learning: Shaped by every partnership, assignment and connection, 2024 has been a year rich with invaluable experiences. Each encounter brought fresh insights that deepened and enriched my journey. From onboarding new clients across diverse industries to joining the Board of Directors of John Cockerill India Limited—my third role as an Independent Director of a listed company—I embraced new challenges that broadened my perspective. Alongside, I continued my commitment to making a meaningful difference across organizations, teams and individuals. Mentoring founders, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders to unlock their potential as well as nurturing young talent & teenagers guiding them through career dilemmas, has been deeply fulfilling. The spectrum of this work has made every effort feel incredibly rewarding, each one contributing to a larger vision. Watching the seeds I’ve sown in organizations, teams, and mentees finally come to fruition has reaffirmed the value of perseverance and quiet, behind the scenes work. Receiving acknowledgements has been both humbling and reaffirming, reinforcing that I am on the right path. It is a reminder that true progress is often seen not in the loudest victories, but in the quiet, steadfast steps forward.

A Year of Deepening Bonds: My connections with those who have stood by my side, offering unwavering support, love and wisdom, for years have grown even stronger, enriching my life and reaffirming the irreplaceable value of long-term relationships. At the same time, I’ve been blessed to forge new friendships, each one bringing fresh perspectives and energy into my life. Some of these connections formed in the most unexpected places, like meeting Santanu and Sharbani Ghosh at the election booth, where a bond was instantly forged or making friends across various platforms/conferences through the year. Every connection, whether old or new, has added a unique layer to my journey, reminding me that life’s true beauty lies in the relationships we nurture. The year has deepened my understanding of every bond, whether longstanding or newly formed, reminding of the strength we draw from each other, with  the profound impact of shared experiences that shape and uplift us; reinforcing how interconnected we truly are.

As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the quiet, purposeful work that has defined this year  - a “Bridge” to the mission I’ve envisioned. This year has strengthened the foundation of growth, resilience and purpose, paving the way for the years ahead.

I step into 2025 grounded in purpose and passion, ready to embrace a renewed paradigm of expansion, progress and limitless possibilities. Through reflection and experience, six guiding principles – strengthened over the years and fortified by the bridge that 2024 has been – shall illuminate my path. These ‘6Gs’ as principles shall continue to shape my journey, guiding me toward meaningful achievements, deeper connections, and the fulfilment of the mission I hold close to my heart.

Gratitude. A deep and abiding sense of appreciation for all that has shaped me. Gratitude shall continue to serve as the lens through which I find abundance in every moment, turning even the most simplest  experiences into extraordinary blessings. It shall remain my guiding force, reminding me to cherish life’s  smallest gifts, recognizing their power to enrich and transform my journey.

Growth. The innate drive to develop and reach new horizons. Each triumph and challenge propels me forward, fostering a constant evolution of the self. Growth is my compass, guiding me with every step, big or small, leading me to higher version of who I am meant to be.

Grace. Countless prayers to remind me of the divine presence that stands by me, offering the gifts of elegance, poise and compassion, even in challenging times. Grace shall remain my quiet strength, guiding me to extend kindness, stay centered and navigate life with dignity. It shall continue to empower me to face turbulence with composure, serving as the force that keeps me grounded and open-hearted to the beauty of life’s unfolding journey.

Grit. With unwavering resolve and dedication, grit shall continue to fuel my mission, propelling me forward through every path that I tread. Grit for me that quiet strength that has been forged through years of resilience, teaching me that progress is built one determined step at a time. It shall remain a strong reminder that persistence, not perfection, is the key to fulfilling my commitments and turning hardships into stepping stones toward greater achievements.

Gravitas. Anchored in deep honesty, I strive to embody wisdom, integrity and conviction – a quiet presence that commands respect and inspires trust. Through thoughtful decisions and purposeful actions, I continue to seek to leave a lasting impact. Gravitas shall remain my fortitude in staying authentic and meaningful, creating ripples of influence rooted in truth and profound depth.

Greatness.  An unyielding commitment to excel in all that I undertake, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. For true greatness is not defined by accolades or accomplishments but by the positive influence I shall continue to leave on others, the legacy I continue to shape through my actions, and the depth of my contributions to the world around us. For it is this quiet pursuit of greatness, that shall continue to uplift and inspire, leave a lasting imprint on the lives I touch and the communities I serve.

As I embrace 2025, I carry forward these guiding principles with a heart full of hope and determination. They are not merely ideals but the essence of my journey - woven into the fabric of who I am and who I aspire to be. With each passing year, I am reminded that the true measure of progress lies not only in what we achieve but in the depth of the impact we create and the connections we nurture along the way.

2025 beckons with its limitless potential, offering a canvas to paint with purpose, passion, and perseverance. It is a call to embrace every challenge as an opportunity, every milestone as a stepping stone, and every interaction as a chance to make a difference. With Gratitude as my compass, Growth as my pursuit, Grace as my strength, Grit as my resolve, Gravitas as my anchor, and Greatness as my aspiration, I step forward with unwavering faith in the beauty of life’s unfolding journey.
