As a countdown to my big milestone, I owe my being what I am to all of you who have been a part and parcel of my life and have helped me shape my life….
As a second part of this series, continuing my gratitude to my alma mater….
My 11th and 12th were dedicated with a motto to move in either engineering or medical and I was so wanting either of them! did not know which one to leave. Loved Maths and Engineering on one side and on other side a passion of Biology and Medicine… A tough decision to make, and I strived for both! Great friends, wonderful teachers, an amazing institute with the lovely lecture halls, laboratories…. Some cherishing friendships, Gauri Tamboli, Varsharani, Umesh Shah, Shivprasad Nikam, Mandar Jog …. Many more the list goes on and on…. Though haven’t met many of them in years, in touch with a few, will love all of them to come home for a party once more!!!
As I completed 12th, fate had something else in mind…. And after some set back in scores, usual Board Stories to share in those times even after having given the best, again life taught me whatever happens, happens for the best; Accept and Move ahead!!!
Chose an interesting field that was opening up fast - Computer Science. Three years of fun, frolic, dedication of learning, understanding, growing…. It was a super graduation time for me. Wagh Sir has our HOD, so simple and a real role model for hard work, Bipin Singh Sir, Swati Maam, and our Goa Trip ! What a campus; Insynch ! Making the most of the fun at the Inter-collegiate festival!!! Hurray…
As a full group of girls, going for the “Ganne ka juice” amongst 14 of us, ordering 3 glasses! And yes how can I forget, once we were making loads of noise in the classroom behind the amphitheatre; and there comes Prof. Bachal to scold us! Seeing just a class full of girls making so much noise, he was so shocked and walked away !!! Wow so many lovely memories, Early morning practicals at 7 am and riding the Kinetic Luna on the coldest night in Pune at 2 Degrees C ! Oh… feels so nostalgic….

Thank you to all of you as you played a vital role in my life!!!
As I completed graduation, stepped into a major career move to pursue my Management Degree in a prestigious Institute – ranked 7th at that time, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. The build up includes the classes, and a big thank you to Sujata Khanna and her classes for shaping me up to be able to get through this institute with flying colors!
Two years of MBA – slogged it out as well as had a good time, partying, studying, enjoying…. Did not realise how time flew by. My professors, Dr. George Judah as our Director, focusing on all round holistic development, Prof Rodrigues – won’t forget your case study methodology, still helps me, Prof Rahul Jakatdar and Satish Inamdar ! Love Finance and am back to using a lot of Finance in my role so haven’t given up! Still remember when I chose HR As specialization, Prof Rahul telling me that I am ditching my first love towards Finance Specialization !!! My Management Days surely have extensively played a role in shaping my leadership, as we slogged out our presentation, book presentation, case studies, lectures and internships, projects ….to partying hard, annual days to participate, internships to attend, summer training to slog it out, campus recruitment to stress you, the various committees to participate and learn from… Transcend! Again so many memories of the lovely time we had at Transcend.

Wonderful to have relived the memories with my Symbi buddies for the two big get-togethers at campus !
To SIBM I dedicate my discovery of my way forward to choose People as the Resource to specialise and realise that to be an expert in people resources, I have to understand every other field of management, it’s the toughest of them all !!! Thanks to Mr. NL Mirchandani for coming on campus and spotting my People oriented talent and encouraging me, guiding me towards this field. Today as a Business and People Strategist, my alma mater SIBM, has given me the overall shape and wings to soar high!
As a proud SIBM alumni and a Fergi Grad, my 7 years strengthened my dreams to learn, grow an contribute in life:
This is where I established my motto of life “Make A Difference” in everything I do!!!
Expressing my sincere appreciation to my alma mater… all my three institutes are such a engrained part of my life and I owe it to these institutes, all my teachers and friends for what I am today !
